Irrefutable

People say, “You either have it or you don’t.”
“You’ll either sink or you’ll float.”
But since when has there been no space for questions?
Since when have we been fully confident in our presumptions?

We’ve been given a guide.
But it’s interpretation causes us to collide.
For who’s agenda might this provide?
Well, I think you could make an argument for either side.

They say, “In the end we will all be held accountable.”
But, “For who?” is where I think we will be most regrettable.
Wasn’t it love that was suppose to be most memorable?
Was anything intended to be truly irrefutable?
